Can There BE Any More to Do in One Day??

PT kept getting Yahtzees with 5s! He won both games.
Dills winning a heat :) hooray!
The UCSD Swim Team Jr High and High Schoolers
I love these guys!
At Don's party.
Famous Unalaskans that we sat with! Anyone recognize ZS from the disco party??? He's running for City Counsel this year
1st party of the night...trying not to eat toooo much as we had another to attend. We didn't have dessert...that's something hehe...
Manderzz working hard! AB holding the ladder for her.
Painting is fun, we'd never done it. My husband always paints and shampoos the carpets....I'm grateful, but I may start painting, I'll never shampoo carpets though!
AB loves painting....he painted all of us in addition to the buildings.
AB's parents having fun!

After "relaxing" for the summer...meaning traveling and doing lots --or not (Wrangell) and having people over and enjoying outside activities. Things are "back-to-business-as-usual"

Saturday was Zumba (aerobics with a Caribbean/South American flair. VERY fun) at 9am, a community swim meet at 10am -- I admit we were STARVING and made a deal with Dyl --we'll bring him lots of Chinese food if we can sneak over to the one restaurant on the Unalaska side before the end of the meet. (Dutch Harbor Fast Food...it is NOT fast food, not in DH....makes little sense, but it's a decent place to eat). We should not have left, we missed him win a race?.. Heat? I do not know the lingo --help!
I did see him win one before leaving. Not bad at all for a 8th grader swimming against high schoolers and adults.
How bad are AG & I? We took his sister, his best friend and girlfriend with us to eat....geez I feel guilty now that I write it. Next time I'll eat before the meet.
At 2pm we painted school bus shelters until it was time to scrub off the purple paint off our hands and faces and rush to a going-away potluck for Margaret the school Secretary for 22 or 23 years. AG is "the new Margaret" Note to self: don't say that anymore, everyone does and I bet she's sick of it!!

The last event was a City Counsel Candidate's forum at the hotel --almost got AG to eat a pice of calamari heheh..... When I got home Jr and PT were playing Mancala. PT wanted to play Yahtzee...how can I turn down a 17 year old that asks me to play Yahtzee? We played two rounds, we are NOT good! Nobody ever made the bonuses on top... we need a grandma to teach us some strategies!
I was asleep by 10pm....

Easter Part 1

The cooks were all sooo happy for 7am!
I LOVE these shoes!!!! I dressed my daughter in the cutest shoes when she was 2 --I miss that, she's got cute stuff now too, but not like when she was 2...sighhhhhhh
Jesse is looking good and such a poser! He's my friend Pat's great-nephew.
It's OK they're married :)
I DID NOT dress like an Easter Egg, although it would've been entirely appropriate! I did wear my "pistachio" Danskos though!

Even the dishwasher was smiling!
The teens passing some time, they were awesome, they helped set up the night before, and helped throughout the whole breakfast!!
A couple very generous ladies put together these incredible baskets (the green one had a cert for 20 pounds of king crab and some giant candy bars that looked delicious along with a ton of other things in both of them) we sold over $300 worth of tickets. I didn't win, ahhh who needed all that chocolate anyway??

I'm back...I think Saturday did me in! It took two days to have energy again! Soooo not used not being energetic all the time, I guess I'm glad I made it through Saturday. I was up at 5:30 for the Lion's Breakfast...there until 1 or so. Hurried home, straightened up the house, ran to the landfill and the store. Set up all the "stuff" for the family to dye eggs while I was bunko-ing. Made an early dinner, took a quick nap (LOL of course) and went to bunko...I even won 3rd place YAY me! I haven't won in well over a year. I am usually the queen of very mediocre scores.
There are no seats out of DUT (LOL I will use that name in this context only!!) I can't get a seat out to go see some doctors and maybe a dentist (no longer going to the one that I have been for the last 10 years...NEVER again!!) unless I want to spend 2x the going rate (which comes to about $1000) for just the one-way to ANC forget it!!

Makes my job hard this past 2 two weeks too. Lots of people with appts in ANC no seats for them...ughhh rescheduling doesn't please anyone!! I have also been going through charts straightening them and noting who is behind on what....I get to nag about every patient to come in for something....no wonder my head hurts ...ohhh well, it keeps me busy.

Come Eat Tomorrow...We'll Even Have Fruit and Yogurt!

Will this ugly weather ever end? I just figured out that my middle kid chose to NOT come home with his brother and it still at the party --aaaggghhh it's like 4 miles away....I hope I don't have to go out again tonight, I have to be at the next "thing" at 6:30 tomorrow morning!!!

I just need to give up sweet potato fries and dressing like an Easter Egg!
This is about as festive as this room gets!
James is trying out the games, he was a great decorator and kid entertainer too!!
I admire people who can decorate, I do not like to decorate, I love to buy the stuff and enjoy looking at it when it's all done, but putting stuff all over, making it look good ughhh torture!
I have figured it out...I'm the chair for the Easter Breakfast because I naturally dress like an Easter Egg...note to self STOP THAT!!!! :) It's very early in the morning when I shop and when I dress, that's my excuse, I'm not awake..
Some great high schoolers helped decorate, thankfully 'cause we adults weren't very good at it. It'll be a fun party tomorrow, everyone in Unalaska should come! The Easter bunny will be there and there will be raffles for 2 AMAZING Easter Baskets for those who didn't know to scour the Internet for Easter stuff as soon as Valentine's Day has passed --hint hint Sonia...

I missed the surprise party for a friend's daughter tonight, there was a decoy party at their apt --a bunch of adults....then she was going be sent to the Grand on an errand where the real party would be, fun! My sons went and said it was fun. Mandy is sick and pitiful...what a back couple of weeks for us! We need to air out our house or something!!! We're not usually sickly. It's almost not IF you'll get sick..it's WHEN.

Why Am I Cookie Dough?

A friend from school asked me on Facebook why I'm Cookie Dough...this is why: :) I'm good! 10 cookies went for $25 yesterday at the Lions meeting. Sorry Patty, next time when I bake for you I'll actually give them to you, but I had to bring an auction item!!!

Hopefully my friend Becky from DEC doesn't see this post LOL...she knows we sneak cookie dough...I am certain we're immune to samonella!

Ohhh Why Didn't I Have My Good Camera??

The weather was just awful this morning! It's better now. I'm not going to Juneau, it's for the best, I'm sort of bummed though. I'll get over it.

There was a seal on the ice in Margaret's Bay today (the one you see when sitting in the downstairs restaurant at the hotel) I don't remember ever even seeing ice, much less a seal right in town! (but I just started being a "regular" at lunch!)
I had a Lions Club committee meeting and I only had my junky camera! So frustrated! He was cute.

Sorry CB I didn't come find you (you were probably really busy with all the stranded passengers.... I know the restaurant was busier than I've ever seen it!!) I had to wait to get salads to bring back to the office and it all took a long time.

Another Confession

Irene is the best Health Aid ever, we love IM, she's the best cook and baker too. hmm where is the pirok she told me she was making LAST weekend??
Here ya go Alena! Me in my yellow vest! It's a hand-me-down, came with the pins and everything!

I'm in the Lions Club...LOL Alena! Laughs at me, but it's fun, everyone is usually happy and it's all about helping people. It's fun to see everyone, and eat lunch at the Grand too! I'm a Tail Twister for the 2nd year...I bring a bell to the meetings, it's the easiest officer job ever! Just right for me! This year I'm organizing a big Easter Breakfast that the Lions put on every year I'm enjoying giving everyone roles :) I think I'm bossy, who knew??
I took a picture of Irene too, she's sooo cute! She's wearing my hat, I almost bought it from Eagle, I even petted it LOL, but she grabbed it first! LOVE the purple and lime she's wearing!! Have a good weekend...maybe mine will be calm here and I will get my English essay done and I need to write up my interview I did with Alena! 2 weeks ago for Nutrition Class....sooo bored with school :(
