Happy Birthday To Me....

That cake is just too bright! They need to quite counting out candles.
Jr and Manderzz made me a chocolate cake from scratch! Can anyone read the words?
I just had one, it was my birthday! that's going to last me years of visits to Heder. Thanks EEEEEEE, vanilla vodka is handy.
My adorable gifts from HD & MB!!!

Heder made a yummy pineapple-upside down cake, I haven't had that in YEARS!! Soooo delicious!
SB made one of my many delicious meals he makes --shrimp fettuccine --not what someone who was told they need to eat less, exercise more needs to eat, but I had a bit. They even caught the shrimp themselves!

My Mom and Sister had a bunch of gifts for me from last year (long story...) so we had a little party in Wrangell before coming home, we had a little dinner with a couple friends right before the boat left. Then I went to Anchorage for less than 40 hours over my birthday to find out my thyroid is still not working very well, but it's slowly improving. And I've gained A TON of weight since May 1st hooray for that.
Heather and family made it a great day after all. I had a delicious dinner (just a bit), a light beverage and a tiny sniglet of the yummy pineapple upside down cake. Ohh I saw the latest Harry Potter movie in the theater after my appointments...that's the 1st Harry Potter movie I've seen in a theater. I did see #1 on a big screen in a gym, but that doesn't count, the sounds was AWFUL.
Thanks everyone for spoiling me!!

41 Gifts....or Close to 41

My favorite piece of sea glass ever! It's pink, 4-sided and jsut adorable!
Me with one of my 40-ish gifts!
Jr's famous strawberry cake...so moist and delicious.
The pile! Complete surprise, I had no idea.
Brandon the cofee shop guy...ohh Brandon WHY? WHY? WHY? He's says he was hot and cut his hair, we think he had some cocktails (there were tumblers on the porch here at the hotel) AND he was "sick" yesterday hmmmmmm.

My mom and my sister collected 41 gifts for my birthday, was supposed to 40 for last year, but mom and I didn't make it to my party :( . This year we're taking off early so we had a small party tonight. Jr and Juno made a yummy and cute cake, and Mom's 2 sweet friends came for some cake & ice cream.
I loved it all! I got 9 seasons of Stargate --yay! I just need the last one. Lots of baking cups, body & bath and scrap booking goodies too! And a few books to add to my large "to-read" pile. Some office-supply type things (I especially love the pen and the sticky notes for chore lists) I'm exausted LOL don't like attention on me for that long, no really I don't!
Last night we picked up more glass on the beach downtown. I found more shades of blue than I've EVER seen! I also found the coolest piece ever!!! A light pink perfume stopper...it has X's or crosses on it and is really "done" unlike a lot of the glass we come across here.
Tomorrow some homework for Health Information Law class, workout and maybe to the movie...counting down the days until Monday. No volcanos better impede travel to Unalaska!!

Birthday Yumminess

THANKS AKDAVE for the hint on where to buy a pure ice cream cake!! It was perfect!

The servers sung for Dills...
This is to tease CB. Jr. was the only one who finished his dinner so he's laid claim to the 3 breadsticks that were left over (Manderzz is sneaking one right now...won't be pretty when he discovers that one is gone)
Grandapa had pizza.

Jr. chose some pasta with shrimp and tomatoes.
Allergic birthday boy, who is forced to eat much healthier than the rest of us chose giant kebobs that were evidently delicious. His poor brother is in the same room as him, I'm not elaborating, but not fun!
Manderzz chose chicken alfredo, she alternates --chicken strips-alfredo-strips-alfredo......
My Step-mom and I both chose eggplant parmesean...I've never had it before. CB it was jsut awful, you didn't miss anything ---I'm so LYING!!!
The salad was OK, not as good as usual I think.
Dills by his favorite resturant!
I just cannot get over seeing temps like this!!

Yesterday was hot and we ran around doing errands most of the day -ughh not my thing. I love to shop online. Driving, parking and dealing with sales people and crowds -ughh what a hassle. But it had to be done.
Later we went to Olive Garden, we were all very tired, but did it for Dills! Manderzz and I went for a walk after getting back to Anacortes, that was nice, but I was still full after the walk and I ate maybe 1/4th of my meal....it'll be an Olive Garden buffet here for lunch today :)

Catching Up

The birthday cake her beloved brother got up at 5:30am to bake, 3 layers of cake 1 of mint chocolate chip ice cream and one of cookie dough ice cream (all 5 of us LOVE cookie dough!) the frosting is real whipped cream, he ditched her for his chick, but he made a cake and gave her a itunes gift card, so the birthday girl "dealed 'wif it"
She looks so grown up with the new 'do
Love it when there is a pianist handy!
These one did leave his room long enough to score a bunch of goals in soccer....
It was icey outside there was way too much gaming this past weekend!
They knew as soon as I saw the lime and purple I'd be snapping pictures!!

I am finally caught up with my homework, after 2 weeks of really not having a chance to do anything, what a chore to catch up! I just need to stay caught up...is it mid-May yet???

Saturday was such a full day! I got my hair done, and so did the birthday girl, wow did we need that!!!! (she looks so grown-up now!)I skipped both soccer games (I hate to do that) My daughter and I did the Story Corp thing with the kind facilitators, we cracked them up! We're quite succinct and had a hard time filling 40 minutes! I don't like getting flowers, they're so expensive here and usually die within a day, Jennifer from the PO told my husband who was looking lost at Eagle to buy me chocolate-covered strawberries, I love Jennifer :) We all feasted on those. My eldest son was up hours early to bake a 5 layer cake for his sister and make a card for his g/f. I was too tired to document that! Darn-it, it was a nice card too!
The b-day girl wanted to play Halo and Boxing on xbox with her dad and the mate off the boat (??? funny girl) so that is what she did Saturday evening.
We had a nasty dinner of chicken nuggets and fries made of real potatoes YUK! We don't eat like that and she is a junk-food junkie. We had a piano-playing best friend over that night so we had music while we sang :)
She got lots of clothes, a 3rd ipod from a grandma (who NEEDS 3 we're still wondering, she has lots of excuses though) a digital camera, an itunes gift card from her biggest brother and $70. She was quite pleased even without a big party!
The teenagers went to the Grand for dinner on SAT night, we got stuck eating nuggets with the b-day girl. But we did make it to the buffet on Sunday. No pictures, she didn't want to look like tourists! (I need to grab that cute little camera for blogging if she's not going to use it!)

I signed up for the Biggest Winner contest on Sunday, I won't win, but if I can lose my chubby cheeks and wear size 2s again I will be thrilled.
I worked out and scrapbooked on Sunday too....
I'm so glad I had Monday off!!! I needed it.
