  2. lol thanks...I do think every single one of them is taken! They're keepers! My co-workers are jealous of all the food he brings home (he does share though) I love the food without all the nasty stuff that commercial meat has in it and love to make some cookies, send him off to hunt/fish and scrapbook all in a quieter house! It's the ordering more crap from Cabela's after I go to bed that annoys me!
Every husband in town gets packages and SWEARS that it's a backorder from MONTHS ago...does that happen everywhere??

  3. Also known in the lower 48 as "what? This old thing?" Sadly they learned it from the women!

  4. He is a handsome fella! I don't think I've seen a shot of him sans raingear before! That's a nice moose he got there too! Is that the moose you're canning in your other post? You know, I was hoping to try some when I was up in AK this past summer, but never got my hands on any. There I was, surrounded by moose meat and fresh Copper river salmon and never got a bite of either! About how long can you eat off of that one moose?

  5. LOL funny Liz, he's got about 9 days of hunting on him in this pic, I'd choose raingear over that!!
It's the one and only moose..he shared it with his hunting partner and we ended up with 300 pounds 100 or so was made into 2 kinds of sausage. Plenty to get us to next fall...we don't eat it more than 1 or 2x a week.
Moose is so good, we used to have deer in Kodiak, this is so much better tasting!

  7. 9 days of hunting...wow! That's cool though. I figured it'd last a good while. My friend Dave-O butchered one right before he came back home for a visit and brought an entire suitcase full of the stuff in dry ice (or however he kept it fresh.) I didn't get any of that either! lol! I bet the sausage is awesome!
