Bella Got Mail Today!

Sunday afternoon...reading lots of scholarships to see what they might qualify for. I am impressed that they're finally focusing! I did have to stick the pillow between them for awhile!

Day 2 of the great scholarship hunt.

The dog version of sweet potato fries! How cool is that? They're chewy, take awhile to eat and she loves them!

Tammy in TN...I mean Sadie who looks exactly like Bella but full-sized (same eyes even!) Sent Bella a wonderfully soft doggy blanket and some sweet potato snacks! THANKS Tammy...errr Sadie. And I will put Bella's Colts neckerchief on her on Sunday...not promising to watch the game though....football puts me to sleep...and there is too much to do to sleep the afternoon away!

The last two days have just been about homework for me and homework/scholarship applications for the teenagers also a nice walk in the park with T last night, and a couple of hours at the gym today (best way to get through a huge amoutn of Indigenous Science reading)

Manderzz and Dyls have been hanging with friends, playing soccer (both) and piano (Manderzz) T is doing what he does...so glad to have avoided that job! I'd never make it through this semester with another thing to do.

Thanks All.....I'm Sorta Spoiled!

Look at all the gifts my friends gave me over the holidays...some of the food and treats were from fall-time.
Thanks Brian (AKA CB), for the fancy and perfect sweaters....the photo does NOT do them justice, both are green of course. CB is all about Macy's and Cashmere!! Ohhh the gifts he gave the rest of the family too! Sheeshh....he's like Santa!!
Margarita --she always keeps us in Southern goodies!! We're infamous for having snacks for the teens here. And so much more, I couldn't list it all. You're so sweet and thoughtful. And Bella loves her duck!

Heder (AKAdventures) The awesome calendar that I know you put many hours into --all the kids were proud to find themselves on it, thank you!!
Rama (AKGlitterqueen) Thanks for the lime green candle-thing and my latest addiction. --can't wait for the order to get in! Everything is going to smell yummy not Bella-ish, right?? Too bad they don't clean up puppy hair too!
Sonia (AKGAL) The new gamne is fun! We need to play again soon!!
Pattycakes --who made the beaded necklace as a going away gift when I left my job, how cool is that? I LOVE it!!
Chris --I wear my warm lime green hat and scarf all the time, your mom is talented!
Annette --Monkey is in my car Soooo cute! The Scarf is with my fancy black dress to wear next year, I'll be that size right? We didn't go to the ball this year.
Tammy M --Bella looks so cute in her scarf...for football I'm guessing?? We're sooo out of it for sports!

Today was snowy and windy, but I like it. My faithful RAV4 gets around so well.  Bella had to get a collar today to keep her from chewing off her stitches where her dew claw was removed. She's pitiful, but seems capable of finding positions to snooze in.

College classes start this week, I have a really hard math class and I have to finish my ENG class that I didn't finish when I got sick last spring....sigh....I have a headache just thinking about GERS....I so prefer classes that are fun like Anatomy and Physiology or anything to do with medical offices or even nutrition....geez I'm all over the place, I need to focus or else get 3 degrees!

I Need My Winter Coats!!

Bella enjoying her lamb!
I got a autographed card from John Barrowman! Captn Jack from Torchwood...his picture is on CB's blog, very cool, I love it!

Spoiled kids got shirts each from Manchester (Jr LOVES that University and they all LOVE football...not the American kind. We barely bother with Superbowl)
Dills got some British candy, everyone was eyeing them but he ate one and I guess hid the rest?? We never saw then again --guess he wasn't willing to share.
CB got Bella some gifts.
T the day AFTER his teeth were pulled :( not feeling too good.
T before getting his wisdom teeth removed, but after almost 24 hours of hanging out in airports and on airplanes....not fun! The SEA airport is chilly at night after 12 days in Mexico.

My coats are in storage! Brrr I have to go find them, I've been too busy (too lazy?) to go to my storage unit on the other side and grab them. So 8 or is it 10 times a day out outside in a hoodie with a reluctant puppy. This week has been full of scrubbing the floor, meetings, lots of cardio and getting several things off my to-do list. I never get bored. Today Manderzz was sick, I had an appointment for the 3 kids to get a portrait done (T is on patrol so just kids, again. The photographer always seems to come every year during red crab season (no complaints, glad he comes out here at all!!) I had to drag her out, I felt bad. I've watched 2 Zac Efron movies with her to make up for it. Evidently I'm a little behind...not anymore as soon as High School Musical 3 is over (seems pretty much like the others??)
I had fun doing Flash! Unalaska WED night with Matt L after a senior parents committee meeting --top secret stuff, we hope, but we hear the kids hear what the plan for the big party is every year.
At 10am I'm going to guest DJ with Gigi/Jane on KIAL. And they have 3 parties too! YAY I love our TV/Radio station. I've volunteered there for about 10 years and been on the board for 4 or 5. I have more energy to do my fun stuff now and I like that! I missed participating and having energy to do it and enjoy myself while there!
I get to leave again in 13 days for a week. I need a break ---lol lol just kidding, I'm a brat, huh? Hopefully I can get Jr over for Sr. pictures and to attend a ceremony at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He was in the top 10% of his class and got a scholarship, not sure where he's going to be going next year at this point.
He also wants to attend the student leadership conference at the school board conference, I have a bunch of inquires to make.

We Opened Presents to Cheer Us Up! Thanks Margarita!

9th grade me! My face looks round?? I was skinny --weird! (yes, a bit obsessive)PC's brother is on the Incentive, but THAT show doesn't show anyone besides the captain very much.
All the snacks from Margarita!! Thanks so much!
Wow!!
The kids were so bored they even played several board games today.

It's still blah and I'm ready to be home, I even started packing....I need another tote..oops how does that happen!? But they don't sell totes at home and my theory is you can't have too many...my friends have been alerted, I hope they can come up with a van to pick me, my entourage and all my luggage up next TUE.

Margarita spoils me! We got a bunch of Moon Pies, some healthy cookies and a TON of pecans. CB and I already have a plan for those...we're going to have one of our get-togethers crack them, toast them and make spiced pecans and candied pecans!! THANKS SO MUCH!!

The kids played some games and took a walk in the drizzle, I went to the gym. I booked a bunch of travel :) It's a habit, I can't stop! My husband is going moose hunting, WE are going to ANC for him to get his wisdom teeth out --ouch! Then on to celebrate our 20th annv a bit early in Cabo. We got married in NOV which is a very busy time, he's never home, not sure why we chose that date. We got married, he went crab fishing never even got a "Real" Honeymoon..I went on a FAM trip to Britain, I'm not dumb. I was a travel agent, we went on several trips before kids, but haven't since the almost 18 year old was born! Should be fun!!

Sooo I suffered through and made my mother suffer through 1 hour 50 minutes of DC tonight, but was rewarded at the end with a bit of Crosby, cute kiddo! Like those teeth :)
They're never going to show the Incentive crew very much, I can tell that, so here is my 9th grade crush, PC. His brother Dominic is on the Incentive...I think PC was on the Wizard for quite awhile, we used to see him off and on around Unalaska, but haven't for years. I haven't changed at all, RIGHT?? They don't show the crew much, but I saw Nunilon tonight CRACK me up...he looks so different (bigger) And Doug....I have a couple Doug stories, but they do not put ME in the best light LMAO...and one isn't even true, his memory is obviously not great!! Really Alena! it isn't true!!

Today Is a Weird One For Sure!

Surprise!! Juno came to visit..remember I mentioned that there was teen drama in the works?
Jr..thinking about seeing the kitchen crew --REALLY he is also excited to go back to work! Are we crazy? Work is more fun than laying around??? What is that?
Juno brought me 3 new sock creatures!! Way to get in my good graces!! 2 funny chickens out of toe socks --the pink one has sparkles even!! And the bunny is hilarious, he's 4th of July-ish yet a serious ninja at the same time.
She also made one for grandma...these 2 kids are good, I've got to say! Anyone recognize him?? It's a favorite character from a Sci-Fi show.
I asked my mother who she preferred Ronan from the wall or her "other dude" she is holding...she said physically Ronan DUHHH! And the other for his intellect! Mom is so cute...Jr. reminded her, "Grandma I'm in the room!"

OMG My friends are making me get teared up! I've never been so missed!! Thanks guys!! I'll be there soooon! And back to work too! (I've decided that working is less of a hassle than waiting on people all freaking day long without getting paid!) Cooking 3 meals a day of regular food and one gluten-tomato-potato-peanut butter free so I guess that's more like 6 per day is too much! At home the brats can do for themselves more....I'm just crabby for lots of reasons today, but my friends are making me feel very loved and missed! And now we get to meet CB's lil sis and nephew..will she be there for the Sunday brunch or do we need strawberries at home? Anyway looking forward to having loads of summer fun -- fires, walks, beaches, games, TV, cocktails...everything that we love....except fattening food! I'm off that!

Ohh bossy... did I mention that I have to go on vacation with my husband this fall for our 20th annversary --NO KIDS!!!!

Today a surprise arrived on the plane ---
