PCR

Hey therealunalaska, gigi, rich, unalaska, cb, lauri, steve, (even tho I've never actually met you, have I?) there were 9 open cardio machines.... 'jus sayin.....your 'puter and your couch will still be there!!

(and no cracks about the tie-dye if you eat at Moose's Tooth restaurant in ANC you'd want a shirt from there too!) I read 80 pages of homework and burned 700 calories!

Anyway enough nagging, I'm a mom what can I say? It was so weird driving to the PCR we had blue sky out here and half a mile down the road it was a white-out! And then the two guys on bikes??!!! INSANE and one was riding down the middle of the road...

  1. Oh, you are so good. I would have been there (believe that?) but I got called in on an emergency. Just got home. So that's my excuse!
I am thinking we should have a blogger's lunch or brunch or something. Get everyone together for the fun of it. Of course, if we are trying to be healthy, that's not the best idea. :)

  4. There is soooo much stuff going on, you are right. I like Gigi's suggestion...let's go to brunch, there are many many healthy things to eat...and if you mix orange juice with your champagne (can you say Mimosa?), you're getting your Vitamin C too? Sounds good to me!

  5. I'm flying out at 1p on SUN :(

Maybe the volcano will erupt and no planes will fly for a week, I could stay home!

  6. If you don't get out on Sunday, let's go! Or we can wait till you get back, maybe that's better to give everyone some notice. I'll request some pork belly for you. LOL

  7. As delicious as pork belly is (an I'm not denying...) how about ceviche?? Doesn't that fall into our "healthier eating" plan? Light on the tortilla chips of course!

I know a kid who'd LOVE to cut all that halibut up!

  8. I'm in, anything for a chance to eat a healthy breakfast...around noon right, cause I cherish my saturday mornings for their sleep value.

  9. It would have to be in the evening until after A season, I'm a 80 hour a week work guy and lunches are too short to do anything fun (or productive). As for the PCR, I have an elliptical and a Bowflex in my spare bedroom and a recumbent exercise bike in the living room and I'm still fat - it's the dang desk job I tell ya! I'm still trying for that 10K miles this year on the bike . . . . I LOVE the shirt (and I LOVE Moose's Tooth) - now there's an idea, we should have a tie-dye party!

  10. You know to tie-dye?! We tried that about 6 years ago in Boy Scouts...they didn't turn out. I want to learn how!
I have 6 t-shirts like that, Ahh-Alaska Bakery in Homer, 2 from the Moose's Tooth, one from San Franciso and one from a PCR race that I volunteered for LOL didn't compete!
People work so much here. I don't work that much, but I do "stuff" all day 5am-10pm...I guess that's the type that lives here, my husband is gone half the year on the boat and fishing, hunting, playing racquetball or doing something to a boat or vehicle the rest of the time.

As soon as I get an extra room I'm making an exercise room too! I had that before kids and miss it sooooooo much!

  11. Did a bit of tie dye back in the 60's. Everything comes back! If you go here: http://www.ritdye.com/Basic+Instructions.16.lasso and follow the directions things should turn out. One thing I learned back then was to wash the garment first. I can't comment on 50/50 shirts because back in the cave there was no polyester in tees!

  12. ahhhh thanks Freida..I'll look for a couple 100% cotton Ts while I'm traveling next week...and some dye. I think we did have cotton/poly blend by accident which didn't hold the color right at all..

I better not actually try it until spring break, I REALLY need to get my classes done, so not in the mood tho!
